My Thought Process Behind This
It’s Monday again, but not just any Monday, it’s December 25, the Christmas day. It’s a special day to me, and so is this episode. If you’re looking to expand your favorite Christmas song list. This PUM episode is what you were looking for. I will show you a kind of Christmas music you didn’t know existed. Let’s f**king go!
As I hinted in the last PUM episode, I made something special for those who love Christmas like I do. I put together a Christmas-themed experiential post (as I call it). If you’re a Christmas person and you haven’t already, check it out for sure. It’s called This Is The Christmas To Me. It’s basically a digital multimedia collage. I just wanted to make something that will both help people set the right Christmas atmosphere and show what the perfect Christmas feels like inside of my head.
Anyways, an exclusive Christmas playlist is a part of that post. When I was making it, I got stuck in an internet rabbit hole of Christmas-inspired EDM songs for a little bit. I found some YouTube-only and SoundCloud-only releases and because the playlist is on Spotify I couldn’t use them. Considering I wanted to make a Christmas special of PUM this week, I figured I would use them in this PUM episode instead. And that’s what I did.
Besides the tracks on this list, there are not that many Christmas EDM tracks out there, especially in the dubstep, trap, and bass realm I am interested in. On the other hand, there are a few electronic artists who released full-on Christmas projects like Kaskade, Yellow Claw, or Dimitry Vegas & Like Mike. Even if those aren’t exactly my style, at least I know about them. You can give them a listen tho, at least it will be a change instead of listening to the same Christmas songs over and over again.
