Playlist Update Monday Ep. 12

Something to look forward to on Mondays

My Thought Process Behind This

Knock knock… Who’s there? The new PUM episode lol. (Excuse the bad joke, please xd. I just had to.) This one is going to get a little bit nostalgic. Well, at least for me. In this episode, we will explore tunes that sound like one of my favorite movie scenes. Genre-wise we are going down the indie edm rabbit hole. I hope yall are ready, let’s go!

Paper Towns is one of my favorite movies ever. Maybe it isn’t a cinematographical masterpiece, but to me it is special. I watched it multiple times during a tough period of my life and it’s just close to my heart I guess. Enough about me tho, if you want and have the time to, I recommend watching it.

As you’ve probably figured by now, This episode is inspired by Paper Towns, more specifically this specific scene. The two main characters Margo and Q are driving through the city at night and the music is perfect. The song is called Los It To Trying, it’s written by Son Lux and it is a special version made for the movie. I watched the scene again recently and decided to make a PUM episode inspired by it. I kinda wanted to do it for myself too.

This episode took me longer to make than usual. I didn’t expect finding music carrying the same emotion as Lost It To Trying, would be so difficult. I went through a bunch of playlists, posts, and lists. I tried hard to think of artists who have a similar indie edm style as Son Lux. I eventually found what I was looking for. Introspection by Midnight Kids caught my attention. I think it would make a great intro for your playlist. (just a friendly tip)

Tracklist

So, you have something new to listen to during this week.

Note: Don’t forget to add these to your playlist!

Exclusive Spotify Playlist

This playlist is my baby. I cultivate it all the time and add new discoveries as well as the tracks from this series. It’s basically a representation of this series and my music taste in general. Haters will say my selection is questionable, but they just don’t get it. If you know, you know. The title says it all. That’s all I’m gonna say.

Here you go. Even more tracks to listen to. Thank me later 🙂

Note: What do you think about all this? Let me know in the comments! I read all of them.
