We Went Snowboarding BEFORE EVERYONE ELSE Did and This Happened…

This time I wrote something a little bit different than I usually write. I want this blog, to be a music blog, but not just that. I want it to be a music blog with additional value. Cause I think I have a lot of things to say about all kinds of topics.

This short story happened a few months ago. Just at the turn of autumn and winter, I and my friend went for a “snow hunt”. It’s a tradition for us at this point. Every year, as soon as the first snow occurs we grab our snowboards and drive to the mountains. Each time we try to be the first ones to ride the early snow.

This year it took a long time before it finally started snowing. When it did, we went for it as soon as possible. It was snowing a little bit, but it was not freezing. The temperature was around 0 °C. So we weren’t sure if there was some snow in the mountains. At least enough to snowboard on it.

We went anyways and decided to just give it a shot. So we grabbed our snowboards, jumped in a car, and started driving. As we were going up the mountains we started losing hope. We were driving up and up, but there was still no snow. I started thinking we are just wasting our time.

Then, on the very top of the mountains, in the highest town in the Czech Republic, we finally started seeing snow. We drove on the highest mountain there and luckily there was enough snow for snowboarding. I love snow and seeing it for the first time in winter is always magical to me, but this was magnificent. On the top of the mountain, there is this old house and it looked like from a movie. Take a look at these photos…

*Please excuse the quality, all I had to take photos was a cell phone.

I was excited to snowboard again after a long time. We immediately started riding. The fog was crazy though, I couldn’t see almost anything. We found a little jump and wanted to ride it. Because of the fog, it was far from easy. I had to stand next to the jump and yell, so my friend knew where to go. It was definitely an experience and I had a lot of fun. It’s awesome when something turns out better than you expected it to be.
