pretty boy sh*t comics

You can listen to the playlist here: listen to the pretty boy sh*t playlist

Note: This comic explains the idea behind the pretty boy sh*t playlist. It describes the way I want people to feel when listening to it. This playlist represents the idea of being tough on the outside, and soft on the inside (not me shorty, I’m beautiful). This is probably gonna piss some people off (and I don’t care), but to me, bass (trap, dubstep, etc.) and contemporary pop music have similar effect on emotions. That’s why I don’t think it is a bad thing to combine bass and pop music in one playlist. My playlist pretty boy shi*t combines trap, dubstep, and bass with emotional pop songs, and listening to it is a wonderful experience. For me, music is primarily a way to deal with emotions (’cause I’m that type of person who doesn’t really show emotions), so why not go from Virtual Riot and Subtronics, to Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo? Hearing a dubstep drop that makes me want to headbang after a heartbreak song just makes me feel something and I love it. To me, dub-heavy music is the most emotional music actually, so it feels natural to combine it with sad pop songs. If you know you know I guess. Just go listen to it and you will see!

One more thing: Jeulzzz, who made The Dub Rebellion reposted track Glitch King, shares a similar opinion and I’m sure he’s not the only one.
