I finally got to make the third post for this series. I make it for people who like to listen to music they haven’t heard before. You can listen to it as a whole. You might find something new for your own playlist as well.
The full playlist is down below, but first I want to tell you more about it. If you’re here solely for the playlist feel free to skip this part.
The entire third part of the series is inspired by one track. It’s the one at the end of the list. “Dreamy Dragon” by Alison Wonderland, featuring no one else than Chief Kief.
I would describe this playlist as if experimental electronic music (including dubstep, trap, and hyper pop) had a crush on pop. You’ll understand how I mean it especially when listening to tracks Decisions, If It’s Over, and Sober
I know it’s mad random, but I feel like this GMF tastes like the Mystic Dragon Capri-Sun. You can’t listen to it without drinking it at the same time. Don’t you dare! 😂
Curation Explained
Speaking of randomness, I added “Haunted” by Laura Les to the playlist. This track shows that a song can be a hit even if you can’t understand the lyrics. Laura Les is one of the two members of 100 gecks. Their track “Torture Me” featuring electronic music legend Skrillex is probably my favorite in this playlist.
I included “Tax the Happy” by James Blake. It is a track from the very beginning of his career. Strange enough it is considered a dubstep track. I think that’s pretty dope actually.
James Blake is known for experimenting a lot and drifting between genres. This is a perfect example of that. Listen to his self-titled album for more interesting music. He also worked on the soundtrack of the show Euphoria with Labrinth. It’s definitely worth a listen.
I discovered “october’s lullaby” by Savage Ga$p featuring glaive by a coincidence. I found Savage Ga$p thru his song with Corpse Husband. One evening I wanted to listen to him. I was writing his name in the search and a song with glaive pops out. I didn’t expect to see a song from the two of them, so I listened to it. It was weird but beautiful at the same time.
Why just 13 tracks tho? Yeah, this playlist is a little shorter than usual. I have a specific reason for it. I wanted to make this one a certain way. Sometimes, I like to treat my playlists kinda like albums. 13 tracks is considered the best album length. As explained in this video. LMK which playlists you prefer, longer or shorter!
