Playlist Update Monday Ep. 7

Something to look forward to on Mondays

My Thought Process Behind This

Another week, another Monday and I’m back with a new playlist update. It’s time to add something fresh to your playlist. This episode is a little different than the others. Not everybody is going to like it, but I just had to make an episode like this. I’m sorry XD. Let’s dive right into it!

At first, I didn’t know where to start with this episode, but then, when I was collecting material for the artwork of a DJ mix I’m currently working on, I found this meme. It’s funny, how aptly it describes my music taste. This is literally my Spotify wrapped every year lol. The idea behind this PUM episode is obvious at this point. My goal was to curate a list, the meme would fit perfectly.

I know it’s pretty out there (at least for some people), to have artists like Taylor Swift and Subtronics in one playlist, but it makes sense if you think about it this way: To me, bass music is actually pretty emotional. For example, when I’m angry or when I’m about to cry, I immediately start blasting dubstep in my headphones.

It’s weird, but it helps me to calm down and deal with my emotions. Another time, in a similar situation, I’ll listen to a sad pop song and it has a similar effect. In other words, when it comes to emotions, sad pop music and bass music gives me similar feeling in the end. Why not put it all together?

Tracklist

So, you have something new to listen to during this week.

Note: Don’t forget to add these to your playlist!

Exclusive Spotify Playlist

This playlist is my baby. I cultivate it all the time and add new discoveries as well as the tracks from this series. It’s basically a representation of this series and my music taste in general. Haters will say my selection is questionable, but they just don’t get it. If you know, you know. The title says it all. That’s all I’m gonna say.

Here you go. Even more tracks to listen to. Thank me later 🙂

Note: What do you think about all this? Let me know in the comments! I read all of them.
