My Thought Process Behind This
I didn’t manage to post this Monday, so I am posting the 8th episode today. Had to be doing annoying school stuff yk. Better late than never I guess lol. I bet yall couldn’t wait for this one, so let’s get to it. This week I decided to pursue a different type of music. I think you’ll like it, but you can find it out on your own.
I’m not saying I got tired of EDM or something, but I thought it would be fun to explore a new genre this week. Let me start with a question. When I say underground rap scene, what artist comes to mind? For me, it’s defo Savage Ga$p. I was actually listening to his song E-GIRLS ARE RUINING MY LIFE! with CORPSE, and I realized I don’t know many similar artists. I decided to change that by making an underground rap episode.
What I like about Savage Ga$p is the diversity, it seems almost as if he had two sides. One of them is this cute sad boy style you can hear in the album forever yours. The second side of him is a dark one you can hear in the album in my restless dreams, i see you with KAMAARA. I was inspired by this when arranging this episode. That’s why some of the tracks are soft and others dark and full of rage.
If you’d like to know where I found these tracks, here you go: I went through some e-girl and e-boy playlists. Another thing I did (which is a great way of finding new music in a particular style btw) was going through all kinds of artists Savage Ga$p collaborated with. Then, as usual, I listened to a bunch of their music and picked the best tracks. I hope you like them as much as I do.
Btw, Christmas is coming up, which is my favorite holiday EVER, so I can’t wait. Have a great time, spend time with your family, and just enjoy the Christmas spirit. Stay tuned tho, cause I am working on something special for those who love Christmas like I do.
